Planning Board Approves Clearpond Road Lot Line, Fee Refund

Planning Board · Meeting of February 26, 2026

Lakeville Planning Board clears a lot-line swap, refunds fees, and punts on stormwater and hospital-site zoning. Members unanimously approved an Approval Not Required plan for 52 Clearpond Road sought by applicant Derek Maxey to buffer land next to the Lakeville Country Club, and voted to release $1,963.04 in unused peer-review funds tied to a 13 Main Street project. A special permit request for a commercial parking facility at 160 Bedford Street was formally withdrawn "without prejudice" and its hearing closed.

A planned rewrite of the board's permit fee schedule, being handled with regional planning consultant SRPEDD, was continued to March 12. On the shuttered hospital site, members said they've soured on state 40R rezoning and instead want to explore Superfund or Brownfields cleanup options and a revised mixed-use zoning plan.
