Planning Board · Meeting of March 12, 2026

Lakeville Planning Board hears Pinecrest Drive flooding complaints, advances open space rules. Members John Cabral, Michelle McCaffern, Dan Wilga, Kathy Murray and associate member Donna Gay took six unanimous votes, including recommending the Select Board retain the town's outgoing town planner as a paid consultant and forwarding a hospital-site brownfield assessment question to town counsel. Residents of Pinecrest and Beech Tree drives told the board runoff from a hillside subdivision has flooded their properties for years, with one saying, "This road was designed in 54.

It wasn't designed to have 20 houses above it." The board separately settled recommendations for its open space development bylaw rewrite, a 15-acre minimum parcel size, a special permit requirement and 50 percent baseline open-space preservation, ahead of a March 25 public workshop at the Lakeville library, and said it has been trying to finalize a stormwater bylaw for nearly two years.
