Lakeville Board of Health affirms three-bedroom septic status for a Pine Bluff property ahead of a pending sale. Homeowners Joe and Cynthia Armstrong sought guidance after a prospective buyer proposed adding a bathroom to a finished garage, which the board said would effectively restore a bedroom removed years earlier. Members agreed the property's 1981 septic design remains "grandfathered" for three bedrooms despite recalculating to about 238 gallons per day under 1995 Title V standards, but warned any accessory dwelling unit conversion "would definitely trigger" a full septic upgrade.

"If it's an ADU, you are not allowed to Airbnb," the health agent said. The board also approved three new food truck permits, a trash hauler license for Hiller Disposals, reappointed animal inspectors Jared Darling and Emma Darling, and opened discussion of raising shared-septic fees from a flat $720 toward a per-gallon rate, with a public hearing targeted for May 20.
