LAKEVILLE — June 23, 2026 — Lakeville Select Board sets July 2 warrant deadline for a July 27 Special Town Meeting. The board voted unanimously Tuesday to open the Special Town Meeting warrant immediately and close it at 10 a.m. on July 2, giving residents and town bodies a nine-day window to submit articles; Town Administrator Andrew Sukforth described the timeline as "tight, but doable," with article review scheduled for July 7 and a full warrant review on July 21. The board also confirmed Sandy Anderson to the Community Preservation Committee as the housing representative, following a unanimous May 21 recommendation from that committee; her term runs through July 31, 2027. Sukforth reported that a weekend Old Colony regional school district capital ballot question failed in Lakeville 903-680 and district-wide by roughly 62 percent to 38 percent, with district officials expected to meet to plan next steps.
