Zoning Board · Meeting of January 12, 2026
Lakeville's Zoning Board of Appeals, short two of its five members, continued a 200-unit Chapter 40B hearing to Feb. 9. The board, chaired by John Olivieri, Jr., opened Monday's session for Simmons Hill LLC's proposed development on Freetown Street, consisting of 44 single-family homes, 46 duplex cottages and 110 condominium units, with at least 50 percent restricted as affordable housing. Developer representative Mohammed Itani asked the board to continue rather than proceed without a full panel, after Olivieri explained the Mullin Rule's limits on members who miss a second meeting.
The board also approved minutes from a May 16 meeting and adjourned by 6:16 p.m., roughly five minutes after convening. The hearing resumes Feb. 9 at 6 p.m. at the Lakeville Public Library.
